Carol Nutter is from Midland, MI. Carol's work explores how the acrylic medium can reflect the colors and forms in nature, incorporating tissue paper collage, acrylic pouring and direct painting techniques. Her paintings are often accommodated by custom, home-made wooden frames, and names of the paintings are often inspired by music. Carol is president of the Midland Artist Guild.
From the editor:
Carol's mix of nature and abstract expressionism offer a modern addition to our gallery aesthetic. Atmospheres and landscapes are infused with an array of bold color and liquid acrylic application, and the incorporation of tissue paper creates an additional layer of delicate, organic texture. Carol's work is a unique approach to a contemporary painting style where color, texture, and repurposed materials take the wheel to create an adventurous modern aesthetic.
