About The Artist

Josephine was born in Ann Arbor Michigan and lived in Hawaii on the slopes of Diamond Head until 1969. She returned to Michigan to major in interior design and worked as a kitchen designer.

"Recycling and repurposing discarded materials was something that was instilled in me as a child by my mother who was very frugal. So as a hobby I decided to create brooches from upholstery fabric samples. Eighteen years ago I began by making abstract designs which later became fun and whimsical animal and flower shapes. I hope these pins make you smile and brighten your day!"
