About The Artist

Sue McInally spent the majority of her life in Northern Michigan where she developed her skill of photography inspired by nature and wildlife in the area. Sue is now a part-time Michigan resident and is a regular volunteer at the Artisan Village gallery when she’s home. Themes in her photography include bears, bald eagles, and other native wildlife, including the popular baby fox (pictured above). Animals are often interacting with their surroundings or their young. Her framing abilities have evolved into repurposing windows into frames with various techniques. Finishing techniques are all unique to each picture.

Sue’s accomplishments include awards in amateur competitions, featured photographs in the Great Lakes Echo website, several first, second and third place finishes in the Roscommon Soil Conservation annual photograph competitions (2008-2011) and a featured photographer in the 2011 Novi Conservation Show to promote Northern Michigan activities.

“The highlight of any shoot is sharing the finished photographs — this completes the circle of photography from taking to giving.”
